LINN, Mo. — The Linn Wildcats used a nine-run third inning to pull past the Dixon Bulldogs for a 10-4 win Monday.
Linn finished with just four hits in the third. Andrew Hueste had a two-run single, while Drew Voss had an RBI single in his first trip to the plate in the inning and an RBI double his second time up.
Drew Voss went 3-for-4, adding a single in the fifth. Hueste also had a multihit game, adding a double in the fifth. Logan Peters drove in a pair of runs for the Wildcats.
Hueste was credited with the win in relief. He pitched 1 innings and gave up four runs on four hits with two walks and one strikeout.
Jackson Voss pitched the first 3 innings, striking out three while allowing six hits and two walks. Blake Wibberg pitched the last two innings, yielding two hits and two walks while recording a strikeout.
Linn (10-6) plays today at St. Elizabeth.
In Monday's JV game, Dixon defeated Linn 6-2 in four innings.
