FULTON, Mo. — The Fatima Comets collected eight of their 19 hits during the fourth inning Monday in a 13-3 win against the Fulton Hornets.
Jaden Hoskins hit a two-run home run to left field in the fourth, while Gage Cunningham had a two-run double. Josef Keilholz, Dean Hagenhoff and Wyatt Luebbert each had RBI hits in the inning.
Fatima led 9-0 after four innings and added one more run in the sixth and three more in the seventh. Fulton scored all three of its runs in the bottom of the sixth.
The Comets had 10 players with at least one hit in the game. Cunningham led the way, going 3-for-5 with two singles, a double and four RBI.
Hagenhoff had two singles and a double, while Luebbert finished with three singles. Hoskins, Keilholz and Austin Wegman each had two hits and two RBI.
Hoskins had a double in addition to his homer, Keilholz had two singles and Wegman hit a triple and a two-run home run to center field in the seventh.
Keilholz went six innings on the mound to earn the win. He gave up three runs on seven hits with one walk and six strikeouts.
Ethan Backes pitched a scoreless seventh, allowing one hit and one walk.
Fatima (7-10) hosts South Callaway today in Show-Me Conference action.
