Jays tennis defeats Hickman 6-3

The Jefferson City Jays came out on top against the Hickman Kewpies on Thursday at Washington Park, winning 6-3.

The dual was the first home match for the Jays since March 22.

Winning in doubles were Josh Wilde and Atul Krishnadas (8-2) and Ben Folz and Trent Kempker (8-3). Falling in doubles were Alec Krumm and Kyle Yungbluth.

Singles winners were Wilde (8-1), Krishnadas (8-4), Folz (8-2) and Yungbluth (9-7). Dropping their singles match were Krumm (3-8) and Kempker (4-8).

Hickman won the JV match 5-2.

Jefferson City (7-3) will play today in the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Invitational.
