Prep Baseball: Vienna 9, Newburg 0

VIENNA - Nathan Kleffner pitched a one-hit shutout Monday, leading the Vienna Eagles to a 9-0 win against the Newburg Wolves.

Kleffner struck out nine batters and allowed just one walk. At the plate, he had a single and scored two runs.

Vienna began the scoring with a leadoff home run by Gavin Stricklan in the first inning.

Logan Agan finished with three hits and scored two runs to lead the Eagles' offense. Zach Schwartze had two RBI and Dylan Buschmann stole four bases and scored two runs.

Vienna (13-5), ranked No. 7 in Class 2, hosts Eugene today.
