MOBERLY, Mo. - The Helias Lady Crusaders earned an 8-1 win Monday against the Moberly Lady Spartans.
Helias won all six singles matches, getting victories from Catherine Conley (8-0), Marting Lorang (8-2), Jessica Cowley (8-1), Ellen Gallaher (8-1), Mya Bremer (8-1) and Sommer Kolb (8-1).
Adding wins in doubles play were Gallaher and Bremer (8-3) and Sage Bentlage and Kolb (8-0). Lorang and Cowley lost 6-8.
Helias (7-3) hosts Springfield Catholic today.
Helias won the JV match 6-1.
In doubles play, getting wins for the Lady Crusaders were Carley Drinkard and Bentlage (6-0), Eleanor Bax and Katie Lorang (6-2), Kylie Bernskoetter and Macy Markway (6-4), Lainie Mantle and Kelsey McKenna (6-0), Addison Boessen and Olivia Schroeder (6-3) and Emily Knox and Elle Wilbers (6-3). Bianca Davis and Abigail Thomeczek lost 3-6.
