M.S. Football: Lewis and Clark wins

COLUMBIA - The Lewis and Clark Trailblazers scored six touchdowns in the first half Thursday in a 52-6 win against Smithton Middle School at Hickman High School.

Steven Samuels had a 55-yard run and Robert Gray III added a 33-yard run in the first quarter. Zane Wings scored both 2-point conversions to make the score 16-0.

Wings added a 7-yard run in the second quarter, followed by a 50-yard run from Gary and a 17-yard run for a touchdown by Tomisaac Johnson. Samuels also returned an interception 60 yards for a score before halftime.

Wings scored two more 2-point runs and Gray added another to give the Trailblazers a 46-0 lead at the break.

Lowegyn Hearn capped the scoring with a 7-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Defensively, Gray also had an interception and Cael Stiffler recorded a sack.

Lewis and Clark (2-0) hosts Waynesville on Thursday at Adkins Stadium.
