Prep Baseball: St. Elizabeth 9, Macks Creek 0

WHEATLAND, Mo. - The St. Elizabeth Hornets won their third straight Class 1 District 9 title Wednesday with a 9-0 win against Macks Creek.

Dakota Kemna threw three hitless innings of six-strikeout relief and went 4-for-4 at the plate to help power St. Elizabeth. Kemna scored three times, stole four bases and drove in a run.

Starter Aaron Blomberg went four innings and walked two, hit one and struck out four.

Coltin Green was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and drove in three runs. Nolan Heckemeyer hit 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored and Mason Kemna was 2-for-4 and scored twice. Freshman Clayton Holtmeyer was 2-for-3, drove in a run, stole two bases and was walked once.

St. Elizabeth (13-5) will play the winner of District 10, either Northwest: Hughesville or Santa Fe, Monday in sectionals. The Mustangs and Chiefs play at 4:30 p.m. today in Alma.
