VIENNA, Mo. - In a battle of ranked teams Wednesday, No. 9 was better than No. 3.
The Iberia Rangers won the Class 2 District 8 championship with a 5-1 win against the Vienna Eagles.
The Rangers led 5-0 before Vienna scored its lone run on a home run in the sixth.
Vienna ends its season with a record of 22-5.
Iberia (17-2) will host Russellville on Monday in sectionals.
