Prep Baseball: St. Elizabeth 10, Tuscumbia 0

WHEATLAND, Mo. - The St. Elizabeth Hornets will have a chance to defend their district championship after defeating the Tuscumbia Lions 10-0 in five innings Tuesday in the Class 1 District 9 Tournament semifinals.

Dylan Wobbe went 2-for-2 with a three-run home run and two runs scored. Dakota Kemna was also perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Clayton Holtmeyer was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.

Earning the win on the mound was Mason Kemna, who surrendered two hits and a walk while striking out six in three innings. Nolan Heckemeyer struck out four and walked one in two hitless innings of relief.

St. Elizabeth (12-5), the No. 1 seed, will go for its third straight district championship when it faces second-seeded Macks Creek at 5 p.m. today in the title game.

Macks Creek defeated third-seeded Hermitage 6-2 in Tuesday's other semifinal.
