SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays fell 3-1 to Springfield Catholic in their season opener Wednesday.
Ria Kessel scored for Jefferson City, assisted by Daelynn Scheulen. The game was tied at 1 at the half.
Jefferson City will play Friday and Saturday at the Parkway Shootout.
In Wednesday's JV game, Jefferson City posted a 1-0 victory. Kendey Fischer scored in the second half for the Lady Jays, assisted by Anna Spalding.
