CALIFORNIA, Mo. - The Versailles Tigers jumped out to a 21-8 lead after one quarter Friday night on their way to an 88-65 victory against the California Pintos.
Wyatt Espinosa totaled 30 points in the victory for Versailles, which led 42-25 at the half and 66-44 after three quarters.
Coby Williams added 19 for the Tigers, while Chase Hyman and Ayrton Gennetten chipped in with 10 points each.
Versailles (8-7 overall, 1-2 Tri-County Conference) will play this week at the Clinton Tournament, opening against Odessa at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
California won Friday's JV game 66-61. Versailles captured the freshman game 61-59 in overtime.
