CALIFORNIA, Mo. - The Helias Lady Crusaders defeated the Fatima Lady Comets 66-58 in Saturday afternoon's third-place game of the California Invitational.
Fatima led 15-12 at the end of the first quarter before Helias came back to tie it at 28 at the half. The Lady Crusaders took a 47-46 advantage into the fourth quarter.
Rachel Alexander and Ellie Rockers had 14 points each to pace the Lady Crusaders. Megan Engelbrecht and Rachel Schulte had strong games off the bench for Helias, with 10 and nine points, respectively.
Courtney Wolfe had a game-high 26 points for Fatima. Bridget Holterman and Lauren Brandt added 10 points each.
Helias (9-8) will host Southern Boone on Monday. Fatima (11-4) hosts New Bloomfield on Tuesday.
