CALIFORNIA, Mo. -The Boonville Pirates finished the California Tournament 2-1 following a 64-59 win against the St. Elizabeth Hornets on Saturday in the fifth-place game.
The Hornets led early, holding a 15-12 edge after the first quarter and a 30-29 advantage at halftime. The game was tied at 41 heading to the fourth quarter.
Ross Struemph led St. Elizabeth with 26 points.
St. Elizabeth (8-9) will take on Laquey next Saturday in the Camdenton Shootout.
