Boys Basketball: Pacific 58, Jays 44

PACIFIC - A buzzer-beating 3-pointer in the first quarter plus a big second quarter for Pacific doomed the Jefferson City Jays as the Indians won 58-44 on Friday night.

Pacific took a 16-15 lead after the first quarter thanks to the aforementioned 3-pointer. By halftime, the Indians led 40-26 thanks to a 24-point performance in the second quarter. Pacific's lead grew to 51-35 heading to the fourth quarter.

DaMani Jarrett and Brennan Jeffries each scored eight points to lead the Jays. Ben Folz and Jared Cooper each added seven.

Jefferson City (8-6) will host rival Helias on Tuesday. The freshman game will start at 4:30 p.m. with the JV to follow at about 5:30 p.m. and the varsity contest starting at about 7 p.m.
