RICHLAND, Mo. - The Belle Tigers used a strong third quarter to pull past the Richland Bears for a 74-72 win Friday.
Belle trailed 20-17 after one quarter and 35-33 at halftime, but the Tigers took the lead in the third quarter, outscoring the Bears 26-18 to go ahead 59-53.
Skylar Smith led the Tigers with a double-double of 35 points and 10 rebounds. Tucker Cordsmeyer finished with 15 points and Tracy Skiles added 11 points.
Belle (6-8) faces South Callaway on Tuesday in pool play of the Belle Tournament.
In Friday's JV game, Richland won 50-47. Jat Ridenhour led the Tigers with 14 points.
