Boys Basketball: Chamois 52, Community 44

LADDONIA - Chamois senior Aaron Brandt scored his 2,000th career point Friday night, leading the Pirates to a 52-44 semifinal win against the Community Trojans in the Class 1 District 10 Tournament.

Community led 10-7 after one quarter and 20-17 at halftime, but Chamois scored 18 points in the third quarter to take a 35-28 lead entering the fourth.

Brandt and Kyle Bockting combined to score 49 of the Pirates' 52 points. Brandt had a team-high 30 points, while Bockting finished with 19 points.

Chamois (18-9), the No. 1 seed, faces second-seeded Wellsville (10-15) in the championship game at 6:45 p.m. today in Mexico.
