Weather postpones basketball contests

Tuesday night's projected wet weather halted much of the area basketball action.

The Jefferson City Lady Jays' game at Pacific was moved from Tuesday to today.

The Class 3 District 13 Tournament opening-round games for the boys was pushed back a day as well at Cole Camp. Area teams in the tourney include top-seeded Versailles and second-seeded California.

Boys opening-round games at New Bloomfield in the Class 2 District 8 Tournament were moved to today. Area teams in the tournament include second-seeded Eugene, third-seeded New Bloomfield, fifth-seeded Linn and seventh-seeded Calvary Lutheran.

The Class 1 District 10 Tournament first-round games for the boys will be played today at Laddonia. Chamois is the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
