Boys Basketball: St. Elizabeth 80, Calvary Lutheran 41

ST. ELIZABETH, Mo. - The St. Elizabeth Hornets jumped out to a 15-point lead after the first quarter Friday on their way to an 80-41 win against the Calvary Lutheran Lions.

St. Elizabeth led 29-14 after one and took a 49-27 advantage into halftime. It was 68-37 after three quarters.

Ross Struemph had 27 points for the Hornets. Dakota Kemna added 17, while Mason Kemna chipped in with 12.

St. Elizabeth (13-11) plays Pilot Grove at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the Class 1 District 9 Tournament at Eldon.

Calvary Lutheran (6-15) will face Eugene at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the first round of the Class 2 District 8 Tournament at New Bloomfield.
