Boys Basketball: Jamestown 61, New Bloomfield 51

JAMESTOWN - The Jamestown Eagles won their home opener Saturday, defeating the New Bloomfield Wildcats 61-51.

Jamestown led 11-8 after one quarter, while New Bloomfield entered halftime with a 25-24 advantage. The Eagles retook the lead 44-42 after the third quarter and outscored the Wildcats 17-9 in the final eight minutes.

Christian Snyder led the Eagles with 24 points, while Cole Higgins finished with 12 points. Mack Sorrells also reached double figures with 10 points.

Jalen Martin scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Wildcats.

Jamestown (3-4) hosts Pilot Grove on Tuesday.

New Bloomfield (5-4) plays Tuesday at Belle.
