Prep Wrestling: Helias at Harrisonville Tournament

HARRISONVILLE - The Helias Crusaders are in 22nd place with 83 points after Friday's pool play at the Harrisonville Christmas Tournament.

Willard leads the field with 160.5 points in the team standings, followed by Carthage in second with 150. Raymore-Peculiar is third with 149 and Belton is fourth with 141.

Jackson Careaga posted a 4-0 record Friday at 152 pounds, winning two matches by fall one by technical fall and one by 14-0 major decision.

Three Crusaders finished 3-0 on the opening day. Jack Lage (113) and Wyatt Forck (132) each won two of their three matches by fall, while Dustin Luebbert won one of his three matches by major decision to go 3-0 at 160.

Gavin Adams finished 3-1 at 106, winning two matches by fall and a third by technical fall.

Nikolai Careaga and Noah Wieberg went 0-3 at 145 and 195, respectively.

The two-day tournament concludes today with bracket play.
