Prep Baseball: Fatima 3, Fulton 2

WESTPHALIA, Mo. - Josef Keilholz's RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning was the difference Monday in the Fatima Comets' 3-2 win against the Fulton Hornets.

Fatima scored single runs in the fourth and fifth innings, but Fulton answered with two runs in the top of the sixth to tie the game at 2.

Ethan Backes led off the bottom of the sixth with a double for Fatima and moved to third base on a groundout. Keilholz's double off the fence scored Backes for the go-ahead run.

Ben Robertson earned the win for the Comets, pitching the first six innings. He allowed two earned runs on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts.

Austin Wegman struck out the side in the top of the seventh to record the save.

Keilholz and Jacob Crede each tallied two hits for the Comets.

Fatima (7-8) plays today at South Callaway in a Show-Me Conference matchup.
