HANNIBAL, Mo. - The Helias Lady Crusaders lost just two of 30 matches Saturday in taking team honors at the Hannibal Tournament.
Helias finished the four-team event with 38 points. Hannibal was second with 28, while Wentzville: Liberty had 24 and Troy totaled eight.
The Crusaders were 17-1 in singles matches:
Dalton Buschjost was 2-1 (6-10, 10-5, 10-2).
Tristan Grawe was 3-0 (10-2, 11-10, with 7-4 tiebreaker, 10-2).
Seth Pezley was 3-0 (10-2, 10-5, 10-2).
Jacob Cowley was 3-0 (10-3, 10-4, 10-0).
Jacob Schepers was 3-0 (10-2, 10-1, 10-1).
Cory Strope was 3-0 (10-2, 10-0, 10-1).
Helias' four doubles teams combined to finish 11-1.
The team of Jack Loehr and Shane Kliethermes was 3-0 (10-2, 10-2, 10-1).
The team of Justin Francka and Andrew Case was 2-1 (10-11 with 4-7 tiebreaker, 10-3, 10-0).
The team of Ben Husting and Justin Freese was 3-0 (10-1, 10-7, 10-5).
The team of Connor Roy and Ryan Kleffner was 3-0 (10-1, 10-1, 10-1).
Helias is back in action Monday at home against Marshall. It will be Senior Night for the Crusaders.
