OSAGE BEACH -- Brockton McLaughlin was a quadruple-winner Tuesday to lead the School of the Osage Indians at the Osage Invitational.
McLaughlin won the boys 100- and 200-meter dashes, and the senior also helped the Indians to first-place finishes in the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relays.
Konner Vaughn and Noah Northrip joined McLaughlin on both winning relays. Keigan Vaughn was the fourth runner on the 4x200 and Eric Hood was the fourth runner on the 4x100.
Fatima’s Caleigh Huot was the only other area athlete to win multiple individual events, claiming the titles in the girls 100 and 200.
The Osage boys added three more wins at their home meet: Konner Vaughn in the long jump, Franklin Sallee in the shot put and Harrison Drzewiecki in the javelin.
The Osage girls won three events: Bayley Johnson in the 1,600-meter run, Emmalyn Faulconer in the 400-meter dash and Madison Kessler in the pole vault.
The Fatima girls won three more events in addition to Huot’s two victories. Sarah Groene finished first in the 800-meter run, Lucy Crede took first in the triple jump and Emma Kleffner won the discus.
For the Fatima boys, Gavin Satterfield, Scott Sankey, Tyler Kloeppel and Michael Kloeppel started the track events with a victory in the 4x800-meter relay.
Cody Kampeter placed first in the 3,200-meter run for the Comets and Curtis Falter won the pole vault.
The Eldon girls picked up two wins at the meet. Zoe Martonfi, Emily Guthrie, Caroline Beckmann and Heather Bradfield broke the school record in the 4x800 relay with a time of 10:10.74, and Martonfi added another win in the high jump.
Posting first-place finishes for California were Eli Dunnaway in the boys triple jump, Kenzleigh Goans in the girls 3,200 and Emma Braby in the girls shot put.
Kade Wright was St. Elizabeth’s lone winner, taking first place in the boys pole vault.
