Volleyball: Centralia 2, North Callaway 0

CENTRALIA, Mo. - Junior Kathryn Ziese logged 20 digs in the North Callaway Ladybirds' 25-16, 25-14 loss to the Centralia Lady Panthers on Monday night.

Senior Sydney Harrison also supplied 11 digs for North Callaway.

"Varsity had a rough night however, they never gave up," Ladybirds head coach Kayla Peterson said. "They played hard until the end.

"That drive and will to win is something we have been working on all season and it is great to see the girls come together, and not just give up."

Junior Allison Sims finished with five kills as North Callaway prevailed in the junior varsity match 25-18 and 25-22. Sophomores Madison Isaacks and Bethany Morris contributed two kills apiece.

The Ladybirds lost the 'C' team match 25-6 and 25-7. Sophomore Riley Foster produced a team-high five digs, while sophomore Kimberly Spears and freshmen Olivia Brown and Taylor Marshall each had three.

North Callaway returns home for a match against Mexico at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
