EUGENE, Mo. - The New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats finished second Monday at the Class 1 District 2 Tournament at Redfield Golf and Country Club to advance as a team to the sectional round.
Father Tolton won the district with a 389, while New Bloomfield took second with a 406. Eldon finished third with a 422 and Boonville took fourth with a 428.
New Bloomfield finished with three all-district medalists. Alex Morningstar finished fourth out of 50 golfers with a 13-over 85, followed by Maddison Markland in fifth with a 91. Kathryn Kelley also tied for 10th for the Lady Wildcats, shooting a 101.
Eldon had a pair of all-district honorees. Kassidy Hull finished second with an 81 and Wendi Dunstan tied for 14th with a 107.
Eugene's Logan Belt placed sixth with a 95, Southern Boone's Hannah Largent finished 12th with a 102 and Gracyn Marriott tied for 14th with a 107.
Haleigh Berrey of Father Tolton won the individual championship with a 5-over 77.
The sectional tournament will take place next Monday at Eldon Country Club.
