The Lady Crusaders outmatched Duchesne on Senior Night in their last home match before districts. Abby Dowden and Catherine Conley (8-1), Elizabeth Conley and Anna Theroff (8-0) and Martina Lorang and Jessica Cowley (8-0) won their doubles matches handily.
Dowden and Theroff won their singles matches 8-1, Elizabeth Conley won 8-2, Grace Twehous won 8-0, and Ashley Atkinson and Rebecca Lage won 8-5.
The JV won 11-5 and is now 14-2. Helias plays at Hannibal today in a final tune-up before the district tournament.
District tourneys
It will be a district tennis doubleheader Tuesday at Washington Park.
The Helias Lady Crusaders (13-3), the No. 2 seed in the Class 1 District 9 Tournament, will host the winner between No. 3 School of the Osage and No. 6 Richland in the semifinals at 3 p.m.
On the other side of the bracket, top-seeded Springfield Catholic will host either No. 4 Bolivar or No. 5 Greenwood in Tuesday's other semifinal. The championship match is set for Thursday.
The Jefferson City Lady Jays (11-9), the No. 1 seed in the Class 2 District 9 Tournament, hosts the winner of the first-round match between No. 4 Camdenton and No. 5 Sedalia Smith-Cotton at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the semifinals.
Also in the districts, No. 2 Lebanon will host the winner between No. 3 Rolla and No. 6 Waynesville in Tuesday's other semifinal. The district championship match will take place Wednesday.
