Cross Country: Calvary Lutheran at Belle

BELLE, Mo. - The Calvary Lutheran girls cross country team had two top-10 finishers Thursday in the Belle Invitational.

Emma Homfeldt took fifth in 21:21, while Sarah Johnson was seventh in 21:31. The girls finished fifth as a team.

Other runners for the Lady Lions were Allison Procter (29th, 24:10), Madeline Wilson (44th, 25:39), Baileigh Morris (49th, 26:36), Abigail Lieb (68th, 28:35), Rebecca Schatte (70th, 28:43) and Bailey Barg (82nd, 35:45).

The boys took 12th as a team, led by Grant Going's 31st-place finish with a time of 19:35.

Reece Going was 55th in 20:47 with Cole Going not far behind in 60th in 21:06.

Josh Thieme (72nd, 21:47), Isaiah Barg (77th, 22:52) and Colin Larkins (79th, 23:08) also ran for the Lions.

Calvary Lutheran will compete in the Hermitage Invitational on Saturday.
