Hair out 6-8 weeks for Falcons

WARDSVILLE, Mo. - Blair Oaks will have a new starter at quarterback Friday.

Nolan Hair, who left with an injury in the first quarter of last Friday's 34-14 win at Versailles, has been diagnosed with a hairline fracture in his lower right leg.

Blair Oaks coach Terry Walker said Hair could missed 6-8 weeks.

"We talk to the kids a lot about adversity," Walker said. "This is an opportunity for them to practice some of that stuff that we talked about, as far as how to handle adversity and how to respond in a positive way."

Freshman Cade Stockman will make his first start at quarterback Friday against the Eldon Mustangs. Stockman replaced Hair against Versailles and finished 10-of-19 passing for 100 yards.

"He's not Nolan, he doesn't need to be Nolan. Cade needs to be Cade," Walker said. "If we do that, and the guys around them do their job, then we'll give ourselves a chance to be successful."

No. 2 Blair Oaks (3-0) hosts No. 7 Eldon (3-0) in a Tri-County Conference matchup at the Falcon Athletic Complex. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
