Osage tops California in football

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. - The California Pintos ended their regular season with a 47-14 loss to School of Osage on Friday night.

The Pintos allowed Osage to score 26 points in a row before scoring in the second quarter on a 66-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Bryant Davis to Liam Glenn to end the shutout.

It was a tough day for the freshman Davis, as he threw three interceptions and was sacked twice. California's offensive line struggled to stop Osage's defense from getting into the backfield early in the game, but made adjustments as the game progressed.

The Pintos allowed Osage to score 21 more unanswered points in the second half until Alex Currens scored on a short run to make it 47-14 near the end of the game.

Despite its defensive struggles, California did force two turnovers, including an interception by Dakota Henry. It was the second straight game in which Henry had an interception. But Osage's passing attack was too much for the Pintos to handle.
