Two second-half goals send Jays past Rock Bridge

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays scored two second-half goals Tuesday to beat Rock Bridge 2-0.

Tucker Jett headed in the first goal and Chad Hamler scored on a penalty kick for an insurance tally.

Rock Bridge had a chance to get on the scoreboard first with a penalty kick, but Jefferson City keeper Nick Ryan made the save.

Jefferson City (11-9) will host Quincy on Thursday. The JV game will start at 5 p.m., with the varsity contest to follow around 6:45 p.m.
