COLUMBIA, Mo. - The season came to an end Friday for the Jefferson City Lady Jays.
The Hickman Kewpies scored four runs each in the third and fourth innings to defeat Jefferson City 8-0 in the semifinals of the Class 4 District 9 Tournament, which was played at Hickman Field.
Kara Daly had three of the Lady Jays' four hits.
Mychael Jett took the loss, allowing 10 hits and striking out two in six innings.
Top-seeded Blue Springs South defeated Rock Bridge 10-0 to advance to today's championship game, which starts at 10:30 a.m.
Jefferson City ends its season at 18-11.
