Boys Basketball: New Bloomfield 87, Iberia 72

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. - The New Bloomfield Wildcats began the season Saturday with an 87-72 win against Iberia in the Frisco League/Show-Me Conference Challenge.

New Bloomfield raced out to a 24-15 lead after one quarter of play and extended it to 43-24 by halftime. The Wildcats took a 66-49 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Jak Kitchens led the Wildcats with 26 points. Jalen Martin contributed 19 points, Kyle Emmerson had 14 and Nick Hammann finished with 10.

Collin Riemensneider led the Rangers with 16 points, while Garrett Ray added 11 points.

New Bloomfield (1-0) plays Tuesday at Calvary Lutheran.

Iberia (1-0) plays Tuesday, Nov. 28 against Dixon in the Frisco League Tournament.
