Helias, California and Eugene lead area squads in academic all-state selections

The Helias Crusaders, the California Pintos and the Eugene Eagles all had five players selected to the academic all-state team in their respective classes by the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Drew Boessen, Austin Fennewald, Cole Fennewald, Dylan Hood and Connor McKenna were named from Helias in Class 4. Helias also was selected for a team award with a 3.39 GPA.

Jacob Adams, Sam Kirby, Jon Pardoe, Cole Schlup and Jacob Wolken were selected from California in Class 3.

Caleb Darnel, Ethan Adrian, Jacob Adrian, Jarret Magers and Sam Beck were honored from Eugene in Class 2. Eugene also was honored as a team for its 3.50 GPA.

Calvary Lutheran teammates Colin Bernskoetter and Jordan Duenckel were picked in Class 2, as was Cole Petershagen of Vienna.

Grant Wood of Jefferson City was selected in Class 5. The Jays were honored as a team for their 3.17 GPA.
