The Helias JV basketball team opened the Helias JV Tournament with a 72-54 win Monday against the California Pintos in the Helias Gym.
Damon Johanns led the Crusaders with a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Tate Heislen and Jeff Szumigala each chipped in 12 points.
Helias will face Blair Oaks in the semifinals at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rackers Fieldhouse.
