Helias rolls past Waynesville with balanced attack

CAMDENTON, Mo. - The Helias Crusaders had a balanced scoring attack Saturday with three players scoring in double figures in a 64-37 basketball win against the Waynesville Tigers at the Camdenton Shootout.

Helias led 8-6 after one quarter and 25-18 at halftime. The Crusaders were able to push their lead to double digits with a 23-point third quarter, extending their lead to 48-27 entering the fourth quarter.

Landon Harrison led Helias with 19 points and four assists, while Nathan Bax added 14 points and eight rebounds. Nick Brandt finished with 12 points.

Helias (13-2) will play Tuesday against Francis Howell North in the first round of the Fort Zumwalt North Tournament. The Crusaders are the No. 2 seed.

In the JV game at the Shootout, the Crusaders won 35-32. Carter Toebben led Helias (7-1) with 14 points.
