Boys Basketball: Rolla 71, Blair Oaks 66

ST. JAMES, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Falcons kept it close for three quarters, but the Rolla Bulldogs built enough of a cushion in the fourth quarter on their way to a 71-66 win Saturday in the championship game of the St. James Tournament.

The Falcons led 18-15 after the first quarter, but Rolla made a layup at the buzzer to lead 33-32 at halftime.

Blair Oaks made a 3 at the third-quarter buzzer to get within 50-48 heading into the fourth quarter.

Thomas Verslues led Blair Oaks with 18 points. Ben Ward scored 15 while Dylan Skinner finished with 11.

Jason Rackers, who scored 10 points for Blair Oaks, was named to the all-tournament team.

Blair Oaks (13-3) will return to conference play Tuesday when it hosts Southern Boone.
