PLATTE CITY - Helias teammates Evan Winder and Jackson Careaga are undefeated after the opening day of the Platte County Wrestling Tournament.
Winder went 2-0 with one win by fall at 106 pounds, while Careaga was 2-0 with two pins at 132.
Picking up one win Friday for the Crusaders were Zack Carr at 126, Nick Gaines at 145, Colden Imhoff at 160 and Cole Czarnecki at 285.
Also competing for the Crusaders are Dustin Luebbert at 138, Will Farmer at 170 and Noah Wieberg at 182. Helias is open at 113, 120, 152, 195 and 220.
Helias finished Friday with 68 team points. Carthage leads with 159, followed by Platte County at 133 and Seneca at 126.5.
The tournament will conclude today.
