Girls Basketball: California routs Hallsville

CALIFORNIA - The California Lady Pintos poured on 27 points in the first quarter Monday to beat the Hallsville Lady Indians 75-35 in Tri-County Conference play.

California held a 27-11 lead after one quarter and extended its advantage to 45-22 at halftime. The Lady Pintos allowed just two points in the third quarter and cruised to a 65-24 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Elizabeth Lutz led California with 23 points, scoring 16 in the first quarter. Ellie Wirts finished with 12 points and Cameron Meyer added 11 points.

California (10-3), ranked No. 9 in Class 3, will play next Monday at Fatima.
