Boys Basketball: Chamois 64, Bourbon 40

BELLE, Mo. - The Chamois Pirates had a game-high 38 points from Aaron Brandt and started the week with a 64-40 win against the Bourbon Warhawks on Monday in the first round of the Belle Tournament.

Chamois held a 20-8 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Bourbon cut its deficit to single digits at 30-22 by halftime. The Pirates outscored the Warhawks 18-8 in the third quarter to push the lead to 48-30 entering the fourth quarter.

Logan Bockting added 14 points for the Pirates and Kyle Bockting also reached double figures with 10 points.

Chamois (7-6), the No. 2 seed in the tournament, will face Missouri Military Academy at 6:30 p.m. today in the semifinals.
