Boys Basketball: Calvary Lutheran rolls past Higbee

The Calvary Lutheran Lions scored 32 points in the second quarter Thursday, winning their fourth game in a row with a 90-64 victory against the Higbee Tigers in CCAA play.

Calvary Lutheran led 24-14 after one quarter before going on its second-quarter scoring spree, building a 56-31 lead at halftime. The Lions were ahead 78-57 through three quarters.

Alex Flannigan led Calvary Lutheran with 29 points, while Colin Bernskoetter finished with 22 points. The two players combined to make 14 3-pointers. Luke Allen added 14 points and Jimmie Wehmeyer finished with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Calvary Lutheran (6-6) has postponed today's Homecoming game against St. Paul Lutheran: Farmington due to inclement weather. The Lions will host Stoutland next Friday.
