BUNCETON, Mo. - The Prairie Home Lady Panthers held off the St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets 49-46 on Friday in the championship game of the Class 1 District 9 Tournament.
St. Elizabeth took an 8-5 lead after one quarter of play, but trailed 18-16 at halftime. Prairie Home held a 33-32 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Brooke Struemph recorded a double-double with 15 points and a career-high 21 rebounds for St. Elizabeth. Shanley Kliethermes scored 12 points, while Kayla Struemph had 10 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Rachel Distler scored a game-high 27 points for Prairie Home.
St. Elizabeth ends its season with a 16-12 record.
