MADISON, Mo. - The Chamois Pirates dominated the first three quarters Friday to beat the Wellsville Tigers 70-63 in the championship game of the Class 1 District 10 Tournament.
It's the second straight district title for Chamois.
The Pirates led 17-6 after the first quarter and extended it to 33-18 at halftime. Chamois used a 22-point third quarter to lead 55-30 heading into the fourth quarter.
Wellsville outscored Chamois 33-15 in the final eight minutes.
Kyle Bockting and Logan Bockting scored 19 and 17, respectively, for the Pirates. Aaron Brandt scored 15 points.
Chamois (20-8) will face either Glasgow or St. Elizabeth at 6 p.m. Tuesday in sectionals at Sturgeon.
Glasgow and St. Elizabeth will play for the District 9 championship tonight.
