Barbour leads Jamestown in win against Pilot Grove

BUNCETON, Mo. - Trenton Barbour recorded a triple-double, helping the Jamestown Eagles overcome an early deficit Tuesday to beat the Pilot Grove Tigers 70-57 in the first round of the Class 1 District 9 Tournament.

Pilot Grove jumped out to a 24-15 lead after one quarter and continued to hold a 31-28 edge at halftime. Jamestown then took a 46-42 lead after three quarters before pulling away to a 13-point win.

Barbour finished with 18 points, 25 rebounds and 13 blocks to lead the Eagles. Austin Flipping finished with 15 points, Garrett Wolfe scored 11 points and Isaac Imhoff also reached double figures with 10 points.

Jamestown (18-8), the No. 2 seed, will face third-seeded St. Elizabeth in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

St. Elizabeth (11-14) topped Higbee 84-57 on Tuesday in its first-round matchup.
