Boys Basketball: Brandt has big night in Chamois win

TUSCUMBIA - Aaron Brandt scored a game-high 33 points and led the Chamois Pirates to a 46-44 win in double overtime Thursday against the Tuscumbia Lions in a Show-Me Conference battle.

Chamois trailed 27-20 entering the fourth quarter and outscored Tuscumbia 11-4 in the final eight minutes of regulation to force overtime. Each team scored seven points in the first overtime period and the Pirates won the scoring battle 8-6 in the second four-minute session.

Logan Bockting also had 11 points for Chamois.

Orrie Patterson led Tuscumbia with 14 points and David Huddleston chipped in 12.

Chamois (16-8, 5-2 Show-Me) will host Russellville today to conclude the regular season. Tuscumbia (9-14, 1-7 Show-Me) will play Prairie Home at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the first round of the Class 1 District 9 Tournament at Bunceton.
