Great 8 Classic: Upper Arlington 71, Craigmont 36

Upper Arlington (Ohio) has proven to be consistent during the Joe Machens Great 8 Classic.

The Golden Bears matched their first-round scoring total in Friday night's semifinal blowout of Craigmont (Tenn.) at Fleming Fieldhouse, winning 71-36 to advance to today's championship game.

The Golden Bears have outscored their opponents 142-84 so far in the tournament, and Dane Goodwin is a big reason why.

Goodwin scored the first bucket of the game and Craigmont never took the lead or even tied the contest.

It was 22-3 by the end of the first quarter and 40-14 at halftime. The running clock was active for the duration of the fourth quarter as the Golden Bears led 63-28 after three quarters.

Upper Arlington got 14 points and eight rebounds from Max Martz.

Craigmont's top scorer was Caleb Mosley, who had nine points.
