MARSHALL, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Falcons took 28th place out of 61 teams Friday and Saturday at the Battle at Valley, hosted by Missouri Valley College.
The Falcons recorded 111 points with just seven wrestlers during the two-day event. Gallatin won the team title with 453.5 points, followed by Lathrop (399), Lawson (388) and Marceline (376.5).
Ben Thomas had Blair Oaks' best individual finish, taking fourth place at 145 pounds with a 4-2 record. Thomas went 2-0 in pool play, then won his first two matches in bracket play to reach the semifinals before dropping his last two matches.
Finishing 10th for the Falcons was Levi Haney at 152 and Kyler Griep at 160. Griep recorded a 5-3 record, winning all five matches by fall, while Haney posted a 3-4 record.
Also wrestling for the Falcons were Sam Frisbie at 126 (2-4 record), Addison Canale at 138 (2-3), Eddie Wells at 170 (4-5) and Adam Jurgensmeyer at 182 (1-6).
Blair Oaks wrestles today against Marceline and Warsaw in a tri-dual at Marceline.
