COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Fatima Lady Comets jumped out early with six runs in the first two innings, holding on to beat the Rock Bridge Bruins 8-6 on Monday.
Macy Berhorst was the winning pitcher for Fatima, going 6 innings. She allowed six runs on 13 hits with two walks.
Ally Bonnot came in to pitch with runners on first and second base with one out, getting the Lady Comets out of the jam to earn the save.
Morgan Laux had a team-high three hits and Bonnot and Bridget Holterman each had two hits. Macy Buscher added one hit and three RBI, while Payton Stuckenschneider had one hit and two RBI.
Fatima (1-0) plays today at Southern Boone.
