Prep Track: Jays JV at Waynesville

WAYNESVILLE - The Jefferson City boys and girls JV teams each finished fourth Friday at the Waynesville Invitational.

Sakkyra King was the Lady Jays' lone winner, taking first in the triple jump with a leap of 31 feet, 8 inches.

The Lady Jays finished second in a pair of relays. Alyson Hetzel, Justice Green, Mira Gandhi and Saneya Winters finished the 4x800-meter relay in 12:23.68, while Abigail Dallmeyer, Hetzel, Emily Lynn and Tiffany Eckert clocked 4:29.12 in the 4x400-meter relay.

Zaryn Kamara finished second in the long jump (15-5).

Taking third place for the Lady Jays were Teahna Phillips in the shot put (28-10) and Kamara, Sarah Joost, Dallmeyer and Danielle Bacon in the 4x200 (1:57.20).

The top finish for the Jays came from Zachary Johnson, who placed second in the discus with a throw of 110-0.

Third-place finishers Friday were Blake Snellen in the pole vault (11-0), Joseph Defeo in the 400-meter dash (54.13 seconds) and Blake Conrad in the 3,200-meter run (10:44.27).

The 4x800 team of Colten Vogt, Conrad, Christopher Gates and Reco Lomax took third in 9:18.30.
