MOKANE, Mo. - The Calvary Lutheran boys and girls combined to win five events Friday at the South Callaway Relays.
The Lady Lions finished fourth in the team standings with 88 points. Linn finished third (96.5), while Russellville (73.5), New Bloomfield (64), St. Elizabeth (58) and South Callaway (47.5) took fifth through eighth place, respectively.
The New Bloomfield boys were third with 92 points. Linn (77), South Callaway (75), Calvary Lutheran (74), Russellville (73.5) and St. Elizabeth (28) placed fifth through ninth place, respectively.
The Lady Lions won three of the four relays, taking home titles in the 4x100-, 4x200- and 4x800-meter relays.
Harley Nale of Linn was a double-winner, placing first in the 400-meter dash and 800-meter run.
Three area athletes were double-winners on the boys side: Calvary Lutheran's Luke Allen in the long jump and triple jump, Russellville's Anthony Bertucci in the 800- and 1,600-meter runs, and New Bloomfield's Payton Culwell in the 400-meter dash and javelin.
