Boys Tennis: Helias boys blank Rolla

The Helias Crusaders won their ninth straight dual to start the season Thursday, beating the Rolla Bulldogs 9-0 at Washington Park.

Dalton Buschjost and Tristan Grawe won 8-3 in their doubles match, while Cance Pool and Jordan Roling won 8-1. Seth Pezley and Jacob Cowley also picked up an 8-2 win.

Winning in singles for the Crusaders were Buschjost (8-2), Grawe (8-1), Pool (8-1), Pezley (8-2), Roling (8-2) and Cowley (8-1).

Helias (9-0) will play today in the Bruin JV Invitational at Rock Bridge.

Helias won the JV match against Rolla 11-2. Picking up singles wins were Jack Loehr (6-3), Jordan Cowell (6-4), Blake Heckman (6-2) and Sam Verry (7-5).

Winning doubles matches for Helias' JV were Loehr and Shane Kliethermes (6-1), Cowell and Ben Husting (6-2), Cory Strope and Jacob Schepers (6-0), Verry and Heckman (6-3), Justin Frese and Connor Roy (6-3), Will Goodin and Tyler Schaefer (6-3) and Andrew Case and Jon Myers (7-5). Malachi Pezley and Ethan Woods lost 4-6 and Jack Marberry and James Rice lost 0-6.
